He was predeceased by: his parents, Luey Burris and Ola Burris (Bolton); his stepson Robert Paul Moore; his grandson Brett; and his siblings, Lena Jones, Pearl Pickens, Bill, Lloyd, Merle, Everett and Roy Burris.
He is survived by: his sons, Mike (Tammy Burris), Daniel (Anita Burris), Alan (Rhonda Burris) and Tim (Debbie Burris); his sister Emma Brown of Alton; and his grandchildren, Steve, Rachel, Katie, Geoff, Jerrod, Leah, Seth, Josh, Caleb, Peggy and Jenna. He is also survived by many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other extended family.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children or to St. Jude Children's Hospital and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
