It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Francis Allen Cripps (Grand Tower, Illinois), born in Murphysboro, Illinois, who passed away on May 27, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Cripps and Mary Cripps (Wright); his great grandchild Octavia Harris; and his siblings, Johnny, James, Frankie, David, Mark, Colleen and Rosemary.

He is survived by: his daughters, Angel Cripps and Heidi Freeman (Josh); the mother of his children Mary Qualls Cripps; his grandchildren, William Wyatt Harris, Sylvia Morales (Damian), Franco Pacheco, Rusty Smith, Cameron Freeman and Braden Freeman (Raquel); his great grandchildren, Braylynn Freeman, Rosalina Morales and Knox Freeman; and his sisters, Bernadine Thompson and Ellen Robertson. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to Shawnee Junior Senior High School Veteran's Wall and will be accepted at the church.
