With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald James Goodchild of Grand Ridge, Illinois, born in Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on July 14, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Goodchild and Doris Goodchild (Mills); and his brother-in-law Ronald Dean. He is survived by: his wife Judith Goodchild of Streator; his sons, Bob Goodchild (Rose) of Grand Ridge, Donald Goodchild of Ottawa and Brad Goodchild (Sara) of Grand Ridge; his grandchildren, Christopher Goodchild (Kristen) of Ottawa, Matthew Goodchild (Chandler) of Streator, Nathan Goodchild (Delaney) of Ottawa, Vanessa Goodchild of Davenport, IA, Heidi Goodchild of Peoria and Joshua Goodchild of DeKalb; his great grandchild Aubrie Goodchild of Ottawa; his brothers, Gerald Goodchild (Birdie) of Ottawa and Ken Goodchild (Eileen) of Savoy; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Dean, Grandville and Janet Herzog (Tom) of Granite Shoals, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
