With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Rees of Grand Ridge, Illinois, born in Streator, Illinois, who passed away on September 15, 2021 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Rees to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Naomi Offord Rees and Lemuel Rees; his sister Sharon Fox (Jim); and his brother-in-law Dale Koetz. He is survived by: his siblings, Muriel Koetz of Grand Ridge and Lem Rees (Susan) of Grand Ridge; and his brother-in-law Jim Fox of Cuba, IL.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and one great grand nephew.

Memorials may be made to the Grand Ridge Fire Department, the Starved Rock Audubon Society, and the Grand Ridge Methodist Church.
