Eric M Spanton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eric M Spanton of Grafton, Illinois, who passed away on December 14, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas "Buck" Spanton and Beverly Spanton (Shimeall); and his brother Colonel Dirk Spanton. He is survived by: his wife Christine Spanton (Rolando); his children, David Spanton (Jessica) and Presley Lammy (Nathaniel); his stepchildren, Tyler Norman (Jessa), Catherine Norman (Maggie) and Sydney Norman; his grandchildren, Dean, Vanna, Kaylin and Everett; his sister Laura Wardlaw (Mark); his sister-in-law Julie Spanton (Rod Lane); and his cousin Steve Spanton (Sutton). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home (1308 IL-109, Jerseyville, IL 62052). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 4:30 PM at 14258 Scenic Hl Dr, Grafton, IL 62037.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to either the Grafton American Legion Post #648 or to the City of Grafton Police Department. Donation Fund.
