He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Butler and Julia Boucher Butler. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Butler of Gorham; his sons, Terry Butler (Tammy) of Murphysboro and Jim Butler (Misty) of Murphysboro; his grandchildren, Kyle Hoy, Melissa Smith, Dustin J. Butler and Karlie Butler; and his great grandchildren, Lucas Hoy and Oliver Hoy.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private graveside services will be held, with burial at Goodbread Cemetery, Gorham.
Memorials may be given to St. Ann Catholic Church, Raddle or St. Andrew's Catholic School, Murphysboro, and can be mailed to the funeral home at, PO Box 277, Ava, IL 62907.
