With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald G. Hancock of Goreville, Illinois, born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, who passed away on December 2, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Jack Hancock; his sons, Wade Hancock and Grady Hancock; and his grandson Draven Lee Hancock. He is survived by: his wife Janis Etheridge; his mother Mary Merriman (Carter) of Goreville; his children, Aleesha Hancock of Mayfield, Kentucky, Jacob Hancock of Goreville and Kagen Hancock (C. J.) of Tunnel Hill; his grandchildren, R. J. Hancock, Alex Hancock, Ashley Hancock, Courtney Hancock, Logan Hancock, Daniel Hancock, Owen Hancock, Mason Hancock, Jacie Hancock, Bentley Burgandine, McKenzie Atkinson and Raelyn Mawdsley; his great grandchildren, Bradon and Octavia Hancock; and his siblings, James Lee Hancock of Paducah, David Hancock (Donna) of Marion, Danny Joe Hancock (Lois) of Goreville, Rob Hancock (Connie) of Goreville, Bill Hancock (Helen) of Goreville, Sherry Hancock of Paducah, Cathy Skogely (Todd) of Highland, Stacy Stevens of Goreville and Tracy Gum (Bob) of West Frankfort. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Those attending the service are reminded that customarily accepted social distancing guidelines are to be observed. The wearing of a face mask or covering is strongly encouraged.
