He was predeceased by: his father Howard Pleasant; and his brothers, Ruegene Starr and Richard Pleasant. He is survived by: his wife Bessie Hawes Pleasant; and his children, Becky Smith of Goreville, Carol Bowles (Sam) of Grand Chain, Illinois and Chris Pleasant of Goreville, Illinois. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
