With solemn reverence, we commemorate Jimmy Newton of Goreville, Illinois, whose life came to an end on October 23, 2024 at the age of 71, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. B. Newton and Dean Newton (Walker); his siblings, Dennis Allen "Denny" Newton, Diana Sue Newton and Cheryl Newton; his nephew Joshua Newton King; and his grandparents, George, Betsy Newton, Andrew and Anna Mae Walker.
He is survived by: his sisters, Carla Newton of Goreville and Pat DuPont of South Daytona, Florida; and his nephew Christopher DuPont of South Daytona, Florida. He is also survived by canine companion "Cricket," as well as cousins, other relatives and many friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Pentecostal Church (915 N Broadway, Goreville, IL 62939). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family would appreciate donations be made to help offset the financial burden of the loss of two siblings, Cheryl Newton and Jimmy Newton, in a two month period. Donations may be made to Bailey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 695, Vienna, Illinois 62995.
