It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Sue Weldon of Goreville, Illinois, born in Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on November 28, 2020, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Galus and Deloris Galus (Spicer); and her husband Rodney Howard Weldon. She is survived by: her children, Melissa Volanti (Carl), Daniel Weldon, Kristan Barnard (Mark), Jason Nigro, Joseph Nigro (Tricia), Allison Fuller (Sam) and Gina Crain (Paul Elders); and her grandchildren, Abigail Volanti, Maya Volanti, Ava Volanti, Maylin Volanti, Taylor Weldon, Hailey Weldon, Gwendolyn Weldon, Sydney Barnard, Tyler Barnard, Alex Barnard, Keaton Nigro, Hanna Fuller, Liam Fuller, Jane Fuller, Nicholas Nigro, Savannah Sheffler and Giovanni Crain.
Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, those attending the service are asked to maintain social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois in memory of their love and support for both Rodney and Evelyn Weldon. Donations can be accepted by the funeral home.
