With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chris Land of Goreville, Illinois, born in Herrin, Illinois, who passed away on June 16, 2020 at the age of 40. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Chris Land to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Kenneth Snoddy and Del Van Zile; his great-grandparents, Jim and Ruth Blackburn; his great-uncle Tommy Blackburn; and his close friend Dain Burnett.
He is survived by: his parents, Rick Land and Debby Land (Snoddy) of Marion; his wife Miranda Land of Goreville; his children, Tehya Payne, Kash Parsons-Land, Lexia Land and Lawson Land; his sister Misty Shock (Rob) of Columbus, Ohio; his parents-in-law, James Lanham of Idaho, Connie Lanham of Goreville and Dawn Lanham of Idaho; his grandparents, Jaye Van Zile of Marion, George, Eunice Land of Lick Creek and Everett Miller of Marion; his siblings-in-law, Christina Lanham (Bobby Hilliard) and Daniel Lanham; and his nieces and nephews, Cameron Shock, Rayna Hilliard, Ryker Hilliard and Regan Hilliard. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and countless friends.
Due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, social distancing is advised and the wearing of masks is encouraged.
For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the Land Family Benefit for his children's education fund, in care of Southern Trust Bank in Goreville.
