Valera Bruns Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2020, at the age of 85, Valera Bruns (Golden, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl Eilers and Christine Eilers (Ihnen); her spouse Merle E. Bruns; her children, Bryan Bruns (Debbie Kemp) of Quincy, Carol Smith (Mike) of Mendon and LuAnn Witte (Art) of Payson; her grandchildren, Heather Cook (Jason) of Quincy, Amber Bruns-Gottman of Golden, Kyle Bruns (Jenny) of Creve Coeur, Brandon Smith, Brittany Smith (Larry Bowers) of Quincy, Samuel Witte (Ashley) of Quincy, Jordan Witte (Jamie) of Quincy, Luke Witte (Gospel) of Winter Haven, FL., Christian Witte of Payson, Seth Witte of Payson and Grace Witte of Payson; her great grandchildren, Raven Ash, Reese Gottman, Bo Gottman, Cameron Cook, Elliot Bruns, Rylee Bowers, Eli Witte and Joanna Witte; and her siblings, Irene Baker of DeBary, FL., Norman Eilers and Mary Ann Carstens. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church or the Golden Good Shepherd Home.
