He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Foster and Velma Blackledge Foster; his sisters, Barb Garner and Shirley Mooney (Sharon "Jiggs"); and his siblings-in-law, Barb Post (Jerry), Norma Schuster (Bill), Ruthie Foster, Ed Gerdes (Lillian) and Jim Henry.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Gerdes; his children, Mike Foster of Burlington, IA, Tom Foster of Quincy, IL, Cyndi Kimble, Golden and Mark Foster; his grandchildren, Sam Foster, Luke Dittmer (Anne), Sarah Dittmer, Michelle Loewe (Aaron), Melissa Foster, Greg Foster (Brittney) and Kayla Benali; his great grandchildren, Payton (Kaleb), Katie, Hannah, Ava, Paige, Elizabeth, Adam, Remi and Massie; and his siblings, Herb Foster and Milda Henry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (1003 Hayes St, Golden, IL 62339). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Golden Good Shepherd Home.
