With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Norma Janssen of Golden, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2024 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norma Janssen to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest L. McDowell and Mildred E. Yeakey McDowell of Mt. Sterling; her former husband John Frederick Janssen; her husband Freddie; her son Bradley Dean Janssen; her grandson Garrett Dean Sprenger; her brother Forrest Eugene McDowell; her fathers-in-law, Ben and Rickey Janssen; her brothers-in-law, Ira Kackley and Robert Janssen; and her grandparents, Samuel, Bertha McDowell, Henry and Zelma Yeakey.
She is survived by: her daughter Lori Ann Sprenger of Atlanta, GA; and her granddaughters, Lauren Oldenburg (Andy) of Columbia, MO and Taylor Cottrell (John III) of Clarksville, MO. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church (309 Adams St, Coatsburg, IL 62325). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Graymount Cemetery, the Community for Christ Assistance Center, or St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
