It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavon Irene Amsler in Golden, Illinois, born in Cuba, Illinois, who passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Velma Irene Voorhees Stevenson; her husband Rev. V. Lee Amsler; her father Clyde Stevenson; her daughter Debra Amsler; her brothers, Linn and Leon Stevenson; her son-in-law Dave Collins; and her great grandchildren, Aaron Schralla and Levi Eugene Collins.
She is survived by: her children, Rev. David Amsler (Debbie) of Guatemala City, Donald Amsler (Connie) of Ursa, Rev. Donna Delp (David) of South Africa and Rev. Dennis Amsler (Debbie) of Liberty; her grandchildren, Rev. Darian Amsler (Kristi), Rev. Derick Amsler (Jessica), Rev. Dawn Coad (Jonathan), Renee Sena (Chris), Robert Amsler (Nicole), Robin Ippensen (Alex), Regina Lavon Schralla (Cole), Rick Amsler (Lauren), Rona Vahle (Tim), Danelle Spalla (Chaplain Michael), Daniel Collins (Kelsey), Deanna Barron (Brandon), David Lee Collins (Samantha), Kelly Delp (Aaron Wannamaker) and Ashley Scheffel (Eric); her children, Brad Amsler and Brianna Amsler; her great grandchildren, Drew, Brayden, Cameron, Kaliegh, Averie, Cade, Maci, Ethan, Kiersten, Calvin, Constance, Archer, Ayla, Cooper, Adalynn, Annalise, Elijah, Emilia, Eloise LaVonne, Ryker, Eva Kay, Oliver, Adrian, Eliana and Ryland; and her sisters, Alta Gehring, Marjorie Smith (Brant) and Launa Pierce (Dean). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
