He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz M. Janssen and Eldora W. Janssen (Schoene); his wife Mary; his son-in-law Randy Kurfman; and his stepmother Mildred Janssen.
He is survived by: his daughter Tracy Kurfman of Golden, IL.; his grandchildren, Timothy Janssen of Golden, IL., Emily Royalty of Norfolk, VA., Elizabeth Tobin (Bryan) of Woodstock, IL. and Sarah Kurfman of Rolling Meadows, IL.; and his sisters, Mary Jean Bienhoff (Roger) of Hills, IA. and Sharon Cain (Red) of Carbondale, CO..
