He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernd V. Janssen and Fredericka "Rickey" Louise Schaefer Janssen; his son Bradley Dean Janssen; his grandson Garrett Dean Sprenger; his brother Robert Janssen; his father-in-law Forrest L. McDowell; and his brothers-in-law, Forrest Eugene McDowell and Ira Kackley.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Lea McDowell; his daughter Lori Sprenger of Atlanta, GA.; his granddaughters, Lauren Oldenburg (Andy) of Columbia, MO. and Taylor Sprenger (John Cottrell III) of Clarksville, MO; his mother-in-law Mildred Eileen McDowell; and his siblings, Bert Janssen, Quincy, Gerald Janssen (Ruth), Valla Lou Dieterle (Dick) and Patricia Kackley.
Memorials may be made to Graymount Cemetery or St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
