It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gay Gunn of Golden, Illinois, born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil B. Geers and Emma Geers (Heydon). She is survived by: her children, Jeff Gunn (Wendy), Julie Erwin (Drew) and Quincy; her grandchildren, Austin Kestner (Kimberly), Andrea Frame (Dustin), Audrey Mancini (Adam) of Buffalo, NY., Alysha Kestner of San Diego, CA., Adlai Erwin of Denver, CO., Ashtyn Erwin of Aspen, CO., Aubrey Erwin of Oxford, MS., Alden Erwin and Quincy; and her aunt Mary F. McDowell. She is also survived by numerous cousins, a niece, and a nephew.
Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church, Quincy Humane Society, Community for Christ Assistance Center, or Ladies of Charity.
