We are sad to announce that on June 19, 2022, at the age of 8, Cael Welty of Golden, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Madelynn Faith Welty; his great-grandparents, Terry Schaffnit and Judith Bivens; his aunt Kylee Bivens; his great-aunt Sarah Kemper; and his great-uncle Steve Kemper.
He is survived by: his parents, Joel Welty and Jackie Welty of Golden; his siblings, Wyatt Elledge, Hunter Welty and Adleigh Welty; his grandparents, Greg Welty of Mt. Sterling, Jeanette, Dennis Blickhan of Mendon, Richard, Rebecca Rhodes of Pittsfield, Michele Long and Michael Bivens of Camp Point; his great-grandparents, Luther of Mt. Sterling, Janet Welty of Mt. Sterling, Robert of Mt. Sterling, Sandra Kemper of Mt. Sterling, Jerry, Barbie Long of Paloma, Gaylord, Jo Rhodes of Pittsfield, Gay and Carole Williamson of Griggsville; his uncles, Jared Welty (Maddie Stringer) of St. Charles and Brody Bivens of Clayton; and his aunt Kelly Rhodes of Fulton, Mississippi.. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorials are suggested to the Cael Welty Memorial Fund and be left at or mailed to the Hendricker Funeral Home in Mt. Sterling or the Farmers State Bank in Camp Point or Brown County State Bank in Mt. Sterling.
