It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Selina M. Wallace of Godfrey, Illinois, born in Piasa, Illinois, who passed away on December 21, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Gwillim and Vera Gwillim (Wright); her husband Fred H. Wallace, Sr.; her son Fred H. Wallace, Jr.; her sons-in-law, Frank E. Smith and Melvin O. Masengale; her sister Gwen; and her brother-in-law Arthur Welch.
She is survived by: her daughters, Peggy E. Smith of East Alton, Vera M. Masengale of Mustang, OK, Donna Thornton (Charles) of Bethalto and Ethel Felgar (David) of Farmington, IL; and her brother J. W. Gwillim of Shipman, IL.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Depending on the state of the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service may be held at a later date.
Memorials may be given to New Testament Missionary Baptist Church in Wood River.
