She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Zarges and Lola Zarges (Payne); her husband John Edward "Jack" Rice; her siblings, Bill Zarges, Charlie Zarges and Dottie Weiseman; and her stepson John Edward "Jackie" Rice Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Critchell (Kent) of Godfrey and Jayson "Jay" Pine (Michelle) of Brenham, TX; her grandchildren, Andrew Duggan, Amanda Schweiker (Rob) and Lydian Pine; her sisters, Betty Bertels of Edwardsville and Ann Zarges of Bunker Hill; her sister-in-law Betty Zarges of Bunker Hill; her stepdaughters, Rebecca Frey (Bill) and Mary June "Jill" Bowker (Gary); and her stepgrandchildren, William Frey Jr. (Tina), Carrie-Margaret Hourigan (Patrick), Gary Bowker Jr. (Amanda) and Joseph Bowker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans, the Susan G. Komen For the Cure, or the American Lung Association.
