With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John W. Carpenter Jr. of Godfrey, Illinois, born in Calhoun, Illinois, who passed away on March 21, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Carpenter Sr. and Lorraine Carpenter (Hazelwonder); and his siblings, Gary Carpenter and Emma Sievers. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Shortal; his children, John W. Carpenter III (Paula) of Mattoon, IL and Carrie Dellamano (Clif) of Troy, IL; his grandchildren, Nathan, Daniel, Matthew Carpenter and Cortlan Dellamano; his stepgrandchildren, Jordan Dellamano (Sydni) and Devin Dellamano; his sisters, Anna Mae Heavner of Godfrey and Alice Adams (George) of Godfrey; and his brothers-in-law, Pat Shortal (Jackie) of Jerseyville and Sylvester Sievers of Godfrey.
