She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Luther Disher and Nancy Disher (Midcalf); her husband George F. Cowan; her children, Joseph Cowan (Kelly) of Imperial, MO., Kevin Cowan (Sandy) of Asheville, NC., Mark Cowan (Colette) of Edwardsville, IL., Patrick Cowan of Alton, Mary Cowan of Alton, Robert Cowan (Marschel) of Springfield, MO., Damian Cowan (Kathy) of Granite City and Maureen Cowan of St. Louis, MO.; her brother Edward Disher of East Alton; her close friend Patricia Snyder of Liberty Center, OH.; her children, Joey Vincent and Anne Marie; and her great grandchild Xavier Cowan. She was also cherished by 16 Grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey Memorials may be directed to Chicago Lurie's Childrens' Hospital Hematology/Oncology Department in honor of her great grandson Xavier Cowan.
