With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frank Lee McAtee of Godfrey, Illinois, who passed away on March 18, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank L. McAtee and Beatrice McAtee (Bohannan); his son William McAtee; and his brother Bill McAtee. He is survived by: his wife Karen Jo Schenk; his children, Cheryl Hager (Garry) of Galesburg, IL, Beth Kern (Rick) of Medora, Tammy Reese (Tim) of Godfrey, Tim Bechel (Heather) of Godfrey and Terry Bechel of Wright City; and his grandchildren, Andrew "AJ", Nikolus "Nik", Todd, Jason, Jake, Michael, Chris, Wyatt, Lucas, Cooper, Audrey, Trisha, Sarah, Rachel, Terra and Taylor. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton, OSF Hospice, or the Godfrey First United Methodist Church.
