We are sad to announce that on June 5, 2019, at the age of 87, Evan Nelson Sr. (Godfrey, Illinois), born in Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mothers, Pearl Henry Nelson and Ruth Inglett (Wilkerson). He is survived by: his wife Lois I. Milby; his son Evan Dale Nelson, Jr (Annette) of Clinton, MO; his grandchildren, Dylan Nelson, Barton Nelson, Charla Heredia (Oscar), Fleta Lockwood (Chad) and Thea Ryks; his son Randy L. Nelson (Jean Ann Snowbarger) of Huntsville, AL; his granddaughter Jennifer Dahlgren; his child Sandy Adair of Dix; his grandchildren, Joy Moore (Jeff) and Chris Adair; his child Kandice Hughes of Godfrey; his grandchildren, Jeff Hughes (Winona), David Hughes (Andrea), Sam Hughes (Joanna), Jill Dupy (Jeff), Joe Hughes (Sarai), Nick Hughes (Brittany) and Brittni Vandygriff (Justin); and his sister Inez Ramirez of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by 5 nieces/nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roxana Church of the Nazarene Children's Department.
