Catherine Ruth Waters Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 27, 2021, at the age of 100, Catherine Ruth Waters of Godfrey, Illinois passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Catherine Ruth Waters to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Robert; her sons, Bob Waters and Joe Waters; and her siblings, Mary Phelan, Dorothy Murphy, Robert Phelan, Paul Phelan, Theresa Schmieder and James Phelan.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Waters (Brenda), P. J. Helwick (Rudy III), Maggie Anderson (Joe) and Eileen; and her grandchildren, Cathy Barnett (Butch), Jim Waters (Christine), Jason Waters (Cindy), Jerry Waters (Sabrina), Richard Waters, Chrissy Meininger (Terry), Teresa Tenore (Dan), James Anderson, Rose and Grace. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and one on the way; plus 13 step-grandchildren, 33 step-great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID restrictions there will be a drive thru visitation at St. Ambrose on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 10:00 a. m. – 11:00 a. m., followed by a private family-only mass.
Memorials may be made to the St. Ambrose Catholic School Endowment Fund.
