It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Lucille McFarlane (Godfrey, Illinois), born in Hartford, Illinois, who passed away on May 12, 2020, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her children, Margaret Gibbons (Jon) and Phillip McFarlane; her husband Dr. Peter McFarlane; and her siblings, Russell, Phillip, Jack Biondolino and Rosalie Pursley.
She is survived by: her children, John McFarlane (Linda), Peter McFarlane (Pam), Thomas McFarlane (Mary), Paul McFarlane (Valerie), Anne Mangus (Ron), James McFarlane (LouAnn), Mary Vaughn (Jeff), Joseph McFarlane (Chris), Robert McFarlane Malvern (England) and Andrew McFarlane Jacksonville (Cathy); and her siblings, Kay Robertson and Sam Biondolino. She is also survived by her children as well as her 32 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or Marquette Catholic High School.
