She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer M. McPeak and Iva May McPeak (Douglas); her husband Alvin Gibson; her stepsons, Mike and Donald Gibson; her daughter Melody "Christine" Cunnigham; and her brother Leonard McPeak.
She is survived by: her children, Daly L. Ottwell of East Alton and Linda C. "Cozy" Lindquist of Godfrey; and her sister Katie Davis of Rosewood Heights. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a step-great grandchild; three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lovejoy United Presbyterian Church (2550 Rock Hill Rd, Wood River, IL 62095). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
