He was predeceased by: his father Bob Cronin; and his stepfathers, Leonard Dettmers and Michael Feltes. He is survived by: his mother Irene Bennigsen Dettmers; his stepmother Audrey Cronin McKenna; his children, Connor and Natalie (Carolyn Cronin); his close friend Laura Gould Deutsch; his siblings, Jerry Cronin (Staci), Beth Glass (Chris) and Emily Friel (Tony); and his nieces and nephews, Chris (Holly Cronin), Brad (Blake Glass), Reese Hopkins and Fiona (Quinn Friel). He is also survived by many step-brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a place where Bob spent many years training and studying the art and philosophy of Aikido; the Midwest Aikido Center, Attention: David Kedney, 4349 N. Damen Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60618.
