He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis; his son David Dempsey; and his siblings, Jerry Dempsey (Ann Marie) and Kathy Dempsey (Doug). He is survived by: his children, Diane Dempsey Kallis (Chris), Jeff Dempsey and Francis Dempsey (Teri); his grandchildren, Kenny and Katie; and his brothers, Steve Dempsey (Gay) and Peter Dempsey (Pam). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
