He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Sucher and Ida Sucher; his wife Alwyn Sucher (Hicks); his daughter Cynthia Riedel; and his siblings, Doris Oltmanns, Dennis and Lawrence Sucher.
He is survived by: his close friend Alice Olcott of Highland Park, IL; his sons, Matthew Sucher (Jennifer) of Northfield, IL, Adam Sucher (Elizabeth) of Norfolk, MA and Hans Sucher (Ana Sim) of Lahaina, HI; his son-in-law Steve Riedel (Dixie) of Richfield; and his grandchildren, Grace Riedel (Andrew Olson), Spencer Riedel, Jacob Sucher (Morgan Bartholomew), Evan Sucher, David Sucher (Julia Packer), Evelyn Sucher and Isaiah Sucher.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the The Grove Redfield Estate (1421 N Milwaukee Ave, Glenview, IL 60025).
