He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Dorothy; his children, Gail Fenton (Kevin), Jacquelyn Mercer (David), Gregory, Richard (Jennie), Timothy and Johnnie; his grandchildren, John, Mary Grace, Carly, Sean, Emily and Ava; and his siblings, Russell (Betty) and Barbara.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital , 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
