It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Downey (Glenview, Illinois), who passed away on April 17, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Catherine Willis (late Dennis), Jeremiah Downey (late Jean) and Richard Downey; his parents, Richard Downey and Catherine Downey; and his mother-in-law Mary.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Lisa Marie Fowler, Catherine Kelly (Kevin) and Jackie Haug (Brian); his grandchildren, Michael, Austin, Sienna, Griffin, Evan and Adam; his brother Joseph Downey (late Patricia); his father-in-law Enrico Doria; and his sister-in-law Kathleen Santucci.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 1615 Lincoln St, Evanston, IL 60201. (Due to COVID the mass is limited to 80 people, and has reached capacity) Interment private.
