She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Wallace and Dolores Wallace; her father-in-law Thomas Landon Lindsay; and her brother-in-law Daniel Argall. She is survived by: her daughter Joan; her husband Tom Lindsay; her children, Tony Lindsay (Mara), Andrew Lindsay (Kristina), Eva Giglio (Kyle), Katie Vanasse (Ryan) and Laura Lindsay (Julia Nissen); and her stepdaughters, Tania Lindsay (Robert Corro) and Lisa Candelaria (Sergio). She is also survived by six siblings; and 24 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Joan has requested donations be sent to the Joan Wallace Lindsay Endowed Scholarship at the University of Illinois Chicago, a fund to support physical therapy students with preference given to students who have childcare and living expenses beyond the standard cost of attendance.
