He is survived by: his sister Jacqueline Brown (Tom) of Wellsville; his children, Frank (JoAnn), Anthony (Dona), Mary Frances Nimrod (Joe), John and Ann Hutchings (Chris); and his grandchildren, Joseph Nimrod IV, Alice Ann Quinn (Jasen), Megan McInerney (John), Katherine Nimrod, Emily Nimrod, Katherine Amato (Samuel Morales Lopez), John Donald Amato and Henry Hutchings. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
