With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald E. Long of Glenview, Illinois, who passed away on September 16, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Long; his daughters, Linda Burmeister (Dennis) and Cheryl Haugen (Martin); his grandchildren, Bryan Burmeister (Erin), Matthew Burmeister (Laura), Christopher Haugen and Emma Haugen (Travis Toliver); his great grandchild Elaine "Ellie"; and his siblings, Melvin Long (late Lois) and Virginia Winkleman (late Alfred).

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Glenview History Center, 1121 Waukegan Road, Glenview, IL 60025 or Hangar One Foundation - Glenview Naval Air Museum, 2040 Lehigh Ave., Glenview, IL 60026.
