He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Fried and Frances Fried of Glencoe; his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" Fried (Gallagher); his daughters, Megan VanDyke (Sam) and Sarah Mills (Ronald); his grandchildren, Maddy, Izzy VanDyke, Ian and Jacob Mills; and his brother Richard Fried (Pam).
