He was predeceased by: his son Andrew Kotz (late Debra); his parents, Arthur and Selma; his aunt Adeline Zeldman; and his brother-in-law Richard Locke (Roberta Sue).

He is survived by: his wife Debora S.; his sons, Kenneth Kotz (Tue) and David Kotz (Laurie); his grandchildren, Aaron (John Chiano), Sara, Samantha, Stephen and Adam Kotz; and his sisters-in-law, Judith Locke and Ruth Selzer.
