He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Klein (Baum) and Charles Klein; his sister Judy (Klein) of Vermont; and his nephews, Jack of Vermont and Bobby of Vermont.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Klein; his son Eugene Shumkov; his granddaughter Gena Gao; and his great-niece Jenna of Vermont.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Leonard Memorial (565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Leonard Funeral Home (565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
