He is survived by: his children, Michael Ecker, James Ecker (Margaret Giesecke), Nancy Vail (Terry Vail), Thomas Ecker and John Ecker (Sarah Radtke-Ecker); his grandchildren, Amy Vail, John Vail, Eileen Vail, Michael Vail and Nate Ecker; and his brothers, William "Al" Ecker and Robert "Bob" Ecker.
