With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lydia A Mayer of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2025 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Lydia's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Lydia has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Mayer and Evelyn Mayer; and her siblings, Gail Rinaldi and Scott Mayer. She is survived by: her husband Jon Gantt; and her siblings, Darlene Irelan (late Robert), DeBorah Sirilla (John Cullen), Glen Mayer (Tammy) and David Mayer (Ruby). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to PAWS Chicago or any other No Kill Animal Shelter.
