He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Lynn Ferrier; his children, Louis D. III Geneva (Nicole), Jeremy Geneva (Ruby), Kristy Lehtinen (Jason) and Michael Geneva; his nieces and nephews, Alan (Paige) and Nicolette Geneva (Darven Shaw); his grandchildren, Luciana, Adriano, Sophia, Grace, Makayla, Adonis and Athena; his brother Alan Geneva (Deborah); his siblings-in-law, Gail Knudson (Dale) and Jim Ferrier (Teri); his nieces and nephews, Anne McPeak (Andy), Matt Knudson, Nicole Ferrier and Chuck Ferrier (Amy); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ella, Eiley McPeak and Dylan Ferrier.
