He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Leokadia; his children, Tony Szurko (Sandy), John Szurko (Mary), Rosemary Ramage (Michael), Tom Drobysh (Cathy) and Theresa Oglanian (Dave); his grandchildren, Ryan Szurko, Sean Szurko (Libby), Matt Szurko (Zach), Drew Szurko, Iain Ramage, Melissa Drobysh Campos (Angel), Matthew Drobysh, Michael Drobysh, Eric Oglanian (Linsey), Andrew Oglanian and Christopher Oglanian; his great grandchild Sofia; his sister Lillian Holowach; his sister-in-law Lily Faldstein; his former wife Martha; his parents, Jozef and Stefania; and his brothers, Marion Szurko and Dominic Szurko (Anna).
In lieu of flowers, John supported St. Jude Children's Hospital and would be honored if any.
