He is survived by: his wife Barbara Skryd; his children, Jackie Skryd, Joe Skryd (Molly), John Skryd Jr. (Tina), Chris Skryd (Martha), Laura DiStazio (Dan), Sara Palin (Kevin), Dan Skryd (Angela) and Tim Skryd; his grandchildren, Michael Skryd, Rick Skryd, Jack Skryd III, Anna Skryd, Alexandra Damian (Frank), Kaitlyn Tibble (Jake), Connor Skryd, Samantha Walton (Marcus), Ryan Skryd (Christine), Abby Skryd, Shannon Skryd, Barbara Kaminski, Nicholas DiStazio, Dominic DiStazio and Justin Skryd; his great grandchildren, Mia Damian, Wesley Walton, Wynn Walton and Kathryn Tibble; and his sibling Thomas Skryd. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
