She was predeceased by: her husband Robert L. Mayer; and her siblings, Bobby Thezan and Pat Van Henkelum (Jim). She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Mayer (Brandy) and Eric Mayer (Heather); her brother Jimmy Thezan (Jackie); and her grandchildren, Nicole, Brandin, Jeffrey, Tyler and DJ. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Gloria.
