Edwin Brinskelle Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2025, at the age of 91, Edwin Brinskelle of Glen Ellyn, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Edwin is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Edwin's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Brinskelle and Adolf Schauer; and his wife Ludwina Brinskelle. He is survived by: his daughter Christa Mannion of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; his grandchildren, Samantha Mannion of Chicago and Ricky Mannion of Boulder, Colorado; and his siblings, Elli Stempel of Duisburg and Helmuth Josef Schmuck of Duisburg, Germany.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and a dear brother-in-law to his wife.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Leonard Memorial (565 Duane St, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Petronille Church (420 Glenwood Ave, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137).
