December 13, 1939 - August 19, 2018 "On Sunday, August 19, 2018, Carol Denise nee Skinner Glaudell, 78 years old, of Glen Ellyn, IL, passed into God's loving arms. She was surrounded by her loved ones in the days that preceded her passing. She was born on December 13, 1939 in Norwood Park, IL. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Noble Lee Glaudell; four children: Gene (Mary) Glaudell (Glen Ellyn), Kenneth (Linda) Glaudell (Brookfield, WI), Denise (Jeffrey) Burger (Sussex, WI), and Dana (Brent) Price (Glen Ellyn); ten grandchildren: Lauren, Erik, Christopher, Anne, Kathryn, Rebecca, Andrew, Allison, Zoe, and Liam; one great-grandchild: Vivian; two sisters: Diane (Jim) Oles and Melanie (Randy) Hutley; two brothers: Greg (the late Ann) Skinner and William (Patricia) Skinner; and one brother-in-law: Dale Glaudell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who considered her their second mom and kindred spirit. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Kovach and Jacqueline Skinner, and one brother, Duane Skinner. Carol will be remembered most for helping out her family whenever they were in need, for her spicy sense of humor, for her tireless efforts to remember her extended family on their special days, for being a magical baby whisperer to all of her grandchildren, and for never losing her faith even when life was at its darkest. Visitation will be held at Adams, Winterfield, and Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main Street, Downers Grove, IL on Wednesday, August 22nd 3 PM - 8 PM and at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5211 Carpenter Street, Downers Grove, IL on Thursday, August 23rd at 9 AM until the time of service at 10 AM. Burial will immediately follow at Wheaton Cemetery, 1209 Warrenville Road, Wheaton, IL.
