He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Gusewelle and Minnie Gusewelle (Dustmann); his wife Marie Gusewelle (Tarjany); his brothers, Walter and Lawrence Gusewelle; and his nephews, Benny Hafertepe, Steve Hafertepe and Michael Tarjany.
He is survived by: his sister Arlene Gusewelle; his siblings-in-law, LaVerne Gusewelle, Evagene Gusewelle and Emil Tarjany; and his nieces and nephews, Sherri Verdun, Deborah Harrington, Chris Hafertepe, Tina Auld, Charlotte Schultz, Lisa Hardy, Lana Facciolini, Laura Rawe, Lavetta Gusewelle and Renee Bippen. He is also survived by many great nieces; great nephews; other extended family and friends.
