She was predeceased by: her parent James W.; her husband Edward D. Lurton; and her siblings, James T. Nichols and Mildred Moss. She is survived by: her parent Ruby M. Nichols (Turney); her children, Karen Messick (Jean) of Granite City and Connie Zimmer (Gary) of Clayton; her grandchildren, Mary Beth Alexander (Chris) of Owensboro, KY, Katie Cooper of Granite City and Maggi Zimmer of Clayton; and her great grandchildren, Andrew Lurton Alexander and Patrick William Alexander.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan House, T.W.I.G.S., 2542 East 25th St., Granite City or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
