With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ellen Lovata of Glen Carbon, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on November 15, 2020 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mary Ellen Lovata to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband William M. Lovata Jr.; her parents, Walter W. Gretzer and Margaret E. Gretzer; and her sister June Fitzgerald. She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Marie Rutz and Mary Christine Walter; and her grandchildren, Jessica Puls (Dan), Caressa Hulse (Caleb) and Maranda Giebler (Neal). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations be made out to The Gardens at SIUE, 6 Arboretum Ln., Edwardsville, IL 62025, or the Main Street Community Center, 1003 N Main St., Edwardsville, IL 62025.
